Pre-symposium of TOCAT7 in Fukuoka

- International Symposium on Recent Advances in Environmental Catalysis -

May 29-31, Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan

<Invitation & Scope>

 We cordially invite you to participate in “International Symposium on Recent Advances in Environmental Catalysis ” which will be held from May 29 to 31, 2014 in Fukuoka, Japan as one of the pre-symposiums of TOCAT7.
 Environmental catalysis for controlling air/water pollutions is a key field in science and technology to ensure healthy and happy living as well as to realize a sustainable society. Environmental protection is of course a global concern, but the level of required technologies is sometimes different between developed and developing worlds. For instance, leading-edge technologies are not always “useful” and “feasible” technologies in the developing world, mainly due to cost limitations but sometimes also considering challenging conditions of catalyst applications. The purpose of the symposium is to understand the current situation and suggest future direction of development in the field of environmental catalysis through active discussion and exchange of ideas.
 The symposium will be consisted of some invited and general talks related to Environmental Catalysis. We welcome contributions on all the aspects of environmental catalysis including heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis, photocatalysis, electrochemical catalysis, biocatalysis and so on.
